Waiting For Baby Girl Rodriguez

The DUE DATE for our daughter is on Saturday! 

Yes, I'm nervous about what it's going to mean

to have ANOTHER baby, just as I'm getting used

to my 3 year old boy.

But here's what I do know...

I am going to be with her.

Because just like with our son,

I am still learning, growing, and getting better at

He is SERIOUS about getting daddy!

and his best friend in the world is with us

all day, and I get to play with them.

This summer has been MAGIC

Yesterday, I woke up to an email that gave me a great start

to the day- it really made me feel EASY about it:

My 2 year-old son dragged a chair

from the table to the counter in the kitchen.

He carefully climbed up the chair,

and stood on the counter.

The Mayor Of New Orleans Just Made America Great Again

While discussing the violence about removing the statues of the confederates this weekend, someone posted this speech that the Mayor of New Orleans did. I had no intention of watching all 19 minutes of it, but I simply couldn't stop listening.

 I was riveted by his understanding of the situation, and his vision for his city. I think you will be too:

I think he really gets to the heart of what so many southerners don't understand, and I hope that after listening to this, they can empathize with their fellow Americans.

Also, I had the time to watch because I QUIT MY DAY JOB LONG AGO.
